  • The purpose of visitor statistics is to satisfy my curiosity.
  • Through this application, the following information is collected and stored.
    • URL of the visited page: Which pages were visited and how many times.
    • Referer header: Information about the link you used to come to a page on this site.
    • Country and region name based on IP address
    • A hash of the IP address, User-Agent, and random number: A hash of your IP address, browser information, and random number. This is used to avoid duplicating your information.
    • Your selected language.

    • GoatCounter can also collect User-Agent (information about your browser and device) and screen size, but I’m not interested in those so I turned those off.

Maybe someday I’ll use Google Analytics, but for now, I don’t want to.
